The Fire
Department of the City of Jamestown,
North Dakota duly organized in the year
1884 and reorganized in the year
1919, has a primary purpose to provide a
range of programs designed to protect
the lives and property of the
inhabitants of the city from the adverse
effects of fire, explosion, and
disaster, and exposure to dangerous
conditions created by either persons or
nature.


The
fire department's objectives are to provide fire
control and suppression, fire inspection and
prevention programs, centralized training,
rescue and recovery, hazardous materials
response, and civil defense by providing an
emergency response system that will manage and
provide mitigation of any such emergency.
